In the role of Marketing Data Engineer, you will act as a bridge between marketing and data, ensuring that data, external marketing platforms, and analytical systems are unified, expanded, and automated to enable growth and ROI. This is achieved by reducing manual work and delivering clean and reliable data that drives the next generation of AI and automation initiatives in digital marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of a cross-functional team where marketing, IT, and BI collaborate daily to connect marketing needs with technical solutions. Your focus will be on collecting, structuring, and enriching marketing data from various internal and external systems, ensuring that it is reliable, accessible, and useful for analysis, activation, and automation.
You will drive the work forward in close collaboration with the business, translating business and marketing needs into scalable data solutions in Google Cloud. The work is largely project- and sprint-based, where you both dive deep into complex data issues while maintaining a holistic perspective on business value, scalability, and future development. The role entails clear ownership of data products and solutions, in an environment where much is built anew and where automation, AI, and data-driven working methods are at the center.
You will, among other things:
- Build and maintain data pipelines from marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn, Matomo) to Google Cloud
- Model, structure, and harmonize marketing data in BigQuery and Dataform to create a common and reliable data foundation
- Integrate external data sources with first-party data (SF/CRM, Pardot/MCAE, CDP) and ensure high data quality for analysis and activation
- Automate reporting and data flows to reduce manual work and enable more data-driven and independent marketing work
- Act as a bridge between Digital Marketing and Data & Development teams by translating business needs into scalable solutions
- Contribute to initiatives in automation and AI based on reliable and structured data
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has relevant work experience in building data pipelines and harmonizing marketing data in a cloud environment (GCP)
- Has excellent knowledge of SQL and experience with Google BigQuery as a data warehouse
- Has a deep technical understanding of data collection (tracking) via Server-side GTM (server Google Tag Manager) and web analytics tools (e.g., Matomo or GA4). You understand the mechanics behind cookies, event tracking, and APIs.
- Has experience mapping web data with CRM data (e.g., Salesforce/Pardot) to solve complex attribution questions
- Has worked with Dataform, dbt, or similar tools for transformation
- Has a good understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) and how data from these platforms differs from web data
- Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English
It is a merit if you have:
